Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research having an impressive campus is dedicated to develop and nurture pharmaceutical education and research. The campus gives an aesthetic and pleasant look where the prime focus is to produce the best graduates in learner focused environment. At present the institute offers 4 year degree course in B.Pharm with an approved intake of 60 and 2 year M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics with sanctioned intake of 18 seats.
The institute has well stocked library, modern laboratories, offering latest technology equipment and classrooms for materializing the dream of SKSgi and to contribute more in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research.
At present BCPSR has 11 well equipped, well maintained and state of the art laboratories. The faculty of the institution are well qualified, dynamic and personally committed for providing all round development of the students. Faculty Development Programs provide professional competence and capabilities so that they can make the best use of their internship potential as we believe that the faculty can train student to be effective team players by enhancing their zeal for knowledge, power to initiate confidence, creativity, innovation for achieving desired results.
The library has varied and rich collection of books and references of Pharmacy courses. It is well stocked and has sufficient books to enrich the student’s knowledge base and faculty requirements. The rich spacious library has collection of 4000 volumes of books with 270 titles of different subjects. It also has 30 hard copy journals, more than 200 e-journals and e-books. It is proposed to network the library to facilitate resource sharing with other libraries and Inter Library Lan (ILL).
The college is approved by Pharmacy Council of India and AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by the Govt. of West Bengal and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata
