SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

SKS Group endeavors to fulfil its Social Responsibility not only by providing quality education to the youth of today but also in the way of serving the people in society who need the most. Every year Eye Campus, Health Campus, Duvet Distribution, Campus for Physically chalanged are organized where the participating patients are treated free of cost irrespective of any discrimination wheather base on case, creed, region or religion. Till now more than 1,00,000 patients have participated in the Campus organized by SKSgi.

At SKSgi we understand our social responsibility and strive to make our society a better place to live in. Apart from providing quality education to the young, at SKSgi several other campus are held where people are provided treatment free of cost. At these camps it helps the needy people of the society to get treatment which otherwise could not have afforded such quality medical aid. Apart from these, medical camps, event like blanket distribution in winter, drinking water piyaus in summer are also regularly rganized. Some of the major event organized recently are as follows:
EYE CAMP The "Vishal Nishulka Netra Chikitsa Sivir" is organized from 25th Jan to 30th Jan every year at SKSgi Campus Mathura where the weaker sections of the society are given proper eye treatment. The first such camp was organized in the year 2007 where 5000 patients visited the camp. In 2008 around 25000 patients were screened and offered medical operation. such large number of patients also visited the camp in 2010 and 750 patients were provided free cataract operation. In 2011 around 30000 people were screened and offered medical advice. Out of these, 750 patients were provided free cataract operation. All the operations are done by renowned doctors from India and abroad with latest sophisticated equipments. There is provision of medicines along with fooding and lodging at the venue of the camp.
HEALTH CAMP “Nishulka Swastha Shivir” was organized from 2nd Nov 2008 to 7th Nov 2008 in co-ordination with Kalyanam Karoti; Mathura, Karuna Prem,New Delhi, and Seva Mangalam; Vrindavan. Eminent doctors from all over India and abroad participated and provided their expertise for serving the underprivileged sections of the society. 30000 patients were provided free medical services and consultancy with free distribution of medicines on general and critical ailments. The operation on patients was conducted by sophisticated instrument free of cost, with proper arrangement of their fooding and lodging at the venue of the camp.. Several Dignitaries, Ministers and Officers visited the campus during the programme and praised the Group’s initiative for social upliftment.
PHYSICAL DISABILITY SKS Group organized a Mega Welfare Camp for Physically Challenged persons abolutely free of cost to the needy and disabled persons are the Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur, from 9th May to 12th May, 2010, where artifical limbs, calipers, crutches, tricycle, wheel chairs, audio aids were provided to the needy persons, without any cost. The treatment of the physically disabled persons were done by renowned Doctors. SKS Group is committed to the noble cause of providing free treatment to the physically disabled persons who could not afford to procure the above instruments. This camp was one of its kind in terms of its size and operations, not only in the city of Durgapur, but in the whole of the state of West Bengal.
