Most of the laboratories under ECE Department are well equipped (like Microwave, Antenna and Communication lab) and have two sections with accommodation of thirty students in each section at a time. In these laboratories the following measurements/experimental facilities besides normal syllabus-oriented set ups are available.
1. Electromagnetic field measurement by EMI/MC sensor.
2. Measurement of cross-talk between two adjacent line.
3. Actual power measurement of high frequency transmission by thermistor sensor.
The students of the final and pre-final years have delivered seminar lectures (a sessional paper) on the recent topics like: Global positioning system, Electronic NOSE, 4-G Mobile, LASER in eye-surgery, Organic LED, Cell phone radiation, Maglev train etc.
One journal and four international conference papers have been prepared by different faculty members of this department. One senior faculty member was nominated as the co-chair person in INCEMIC, 2008 held in Bangalore.

It contains people from industry and academia young and old all coordinated into vibrant team with a vision to industry-academia interaction.
After NIT-Durgapur, we are the first private engineering College under WBUT to have signed a M.O.U. with Durgapur Steel Plant for its ongoing projects in collaboration with RDCIS-Ranchi.
The department of EEE and all its laboratories are integrated together in a single building occupying four floors. Apart from all experiments as per syllabus, the labs are aesthetically designed to ensure comfortable working environment along with some unique features.
The electrical drives lab contains modules designed by professor of IIT-Kharagpur.
The power system lab contains computer based transmission line trainer and latest solid state digital relays for bus bar & transformer protection which is capable of handling industrial workshops. It is proposed to upgrade the facility to a switchgear repairing workshop.
The electrical machine lab is to be upgraded for motor winding / assembling unit for commercial disbursement and also training of students.
We have received AICTE funds for entrepreneurship development cell involved in consulting, training, skill development programme, and PCB design in collaboration with personnel from IIT.
